Yes, we have a play yard.

And we allow binkies. The play yard gives us a safe place to put him in the living room. The binky is just because he likes it. Soren had one, too. It didn't delay his speech or impact his teeth. When he turned 1, we said that binks were just for bed. We then put the binky in his memory box when he was about 18 months. He got over it in a couple days.  So, those are my positions on play yards and binkies. They're both fine, in moderation.
