A Hottie Poem!

When your thoughts are all a jumble.
When your stuff has got you down.
And you think your gonna stumble.
Just sit up and look around.

Sit still in peace and quiet
Let calmness be the goal
Don't let those voices grab you
They will not take their toll.

If you listen to the mean things
That you yourself might say
Those voices will consume you
And then you've lost the day.

Just tell them to be quiet.
Tell them to be still.
It won't seem like it is working.
Keep going and it will.

Get up and make some coffee.
Make breakfast for your kids.
Wipe their runny noses
And crusties from their lids.

Ask them how they're doing.
Go about your day.
Eat and take a shower.
Pretty soon you'll say:

I know what I'm doing.
I know why I'm here.
I wasn't sure this morning,
But now it's crystal clear.

Do your exercises.
Go and get to work!
It might seem too hard
But these duties you can't shirk.

Do the things on your 'to do list'.
Do them till they're done.
And when the day is over.
You'll realize that you've won.

You won't allow those voices
To stop you anymore.
Though silencing is difficult
And workouts make you sore.

You aren't a giver upper.
That really isn't you!
Let's go and get to work!
