Bunbury Music Festival (2014)

I am blown away by the idea that the third annual Bunbury Music Festival starts THIS FRIDAY! I can still remember, very clearly, the first time my husband talked about starting a new festival. He had just sold MidPoint and was ready for something new. My husband, Bill, is a man of many talents and passions. Music is a big one. He loves bringing new music to Cincinnati and he's been doing it for about 14 years.

This year's Bunbury is shaping up to be even bigger than last year. The lineup is incredible. Seriously, it's unbelievable. 80 acts, spread out over 6 stages in 3 days. The food will be delicious, thanks to many local vendors and the beer (let's not forget the BEER) will be crafty. So many selections, so little time. The weather is looking good (fingers crossed) and it should be a gorgeous weekend down on the beautiful Ohio River.

If you haven't heard about Bunbury yet, please go to http://www.bunburyfestival.com/ and check it out. There are still plenty of tickets available and you can purchase them online or at the gate. Go for one day or all three days! I promise, you will not be disappointed. It's great music, in a fabulous setting, and kids 10 and under are FREE! That's right. FREE. I bring my boys every year and it's a very family friendly event. The crowd is nice, there are plenty of bathrooms and little guys have a great time rockin' out. (My son, Soren, was three at last year's event. When he saw his dad play with Messerly and Ewing, he was completely awestruck.) Bill won't be playing with a band this year, but I'm sure Soren will be excited to hear some of his favorite bands. (New Politics and Fall Out Boy are definitely on his schedule.)

If you're in the Cincinnati area, come on down. Bring the fam. Bring your friends. BEE FREE!

And, if you're into country music, be sure to check out the Buckle Up fest. It's the following weekend, same place, same time.  http://www.buckleupfestival.com/
